Concrete work in Urbandale

Before you replace concrete in Urbandale

Urbandale's code (Sec. 99.080) requires anyone who wants to build, rebuild or repair a sidewalk in the city to apply for a city permit before starting work.

Urbandale's Sidewalks page says the homeowner whose property adjoins a sidewalk is responsible for getting it repaired or replaced, paying either directly or through an assessment.

Under Urbandale's code (Sec. 99.084), whoever builds or repairs a sidewalk must call for a city inspection once the subgrade is at the city's grade and the forms are set, and again when it is finished.
